Heritage venues

A heritage venue, here, means a cinema devoting much of its programme to repertory: films back on release (restorations, revivals, film-club screenings) as opposed to new titles. The ranking measures the share of those repertory screenings in the venue's total for the week. So it is a percentage, not a count of retrospectives nor a number of films showing: counting by volume would put multiplexes on top, since they programme more of everything. A venue needs at least 8 screenings in the week to appear.
